March 5th Bug-Fixing Build

Gambar
This build isn’t just about bug fixes, though; it also contains around 13 other miscellaneous changes, ranging from Mission Mode adjustments to game design improvements. Changes, Additions Characters will now react to the sight of Yandere-chan carrying bloody clothing. (I didn’t realize this wasn’t a feature in the game until now!) Being spotted carrying around bloody clothing is considered the same as carrying around evidence of murder (like a severed limb). If this is too harsh, then I’ll change the punishment to something else in the future. Removed the “students react to footsteps at low school atmosphere” feature, since it was changing the intended game design significantly and creating weird exploits. The feature may eventually be re-added if I can figure out a better implementation. If there are bloodstains present at school when the police arrive (but no corpses) the text that displays during the End-of-Day sequence will reflect this. If a student reports a severed l...

March 2019 Progress Report

Remember how the last big update – the ability to drop stuff on students and light them on fire – resulted in a ton of new bugs? Well, I’m gonna keep it real with you; this build might have the same issue. This update involved MASSIVE overhauls to the “teacher receives report / teacher investigates report” feature, and it’s entirely possible that there might be new bugs with that feature, and also bugs when students and teachers react to suspicious objects. I tested every situation I could think of and fixed every problem I found, but there might be some edge-cases I didn’t think of testing, so you might run into some weird bugs in this build. (That’s the point of these debug builds, though; for people to find and report bugs.) Watching YouTubers play Yandere Simulator is, by far, the best way for me to learn about flaws, exploits, and bugs in the game. However, I’m fully prepared to accept the possibility that YouTubers will ignore this build, since this update probably doesn’t ...

February 19th Bug-Fixing Build

You know the drill by now, right? Fixes, Changes, and Additions When Yandere-chan dumps liquid or weights off the roof and presses the “Q” key (or the “B” button on Xbox controller), the player will see a little picture-in-picture camera view of the liquid/weights falling and hitting the ground (or its target). Fixed bug that allowed Yandere-chan to dump something off of the school roof even if a fence was around the school rooftop. Fixed bug that caused the Occult Club to spend eternity walking into their locked clubroom door if their closed down. Fixed bug that would prevent liquid from being able to collide with a character standing in the outdoor cafeteria. Updated the Martial Arts Club’s hair colors and eye colors, since their old colors always bothered me a little. Fixed bug that would prevent liquid from being able to collide with a character standing behind the school. Fixed bug that prevented Yandere-chan from being able to wear a lab coat after joining the Scien...

February 18th Bug-Fixing Build

There were a few more bugs that I really wanted to fix, so here’s a new build! Fixes, Changes, and Additions Changed the Martial Arts Club’s daily routine; They now walk around school and practice martial arts in different locations. This increases the chance that they will become witnesses to your crimes. Fixed bug that would cause a character (student or teacher) to walk in place indefinitely if they were splashed with water while investigating the sound of a giggle. Adjusted the hedges in the center plaza so that it’s no longer possible for Yandere-chan to become trapped between a closed door and a hedge. Slight adjustment to the “leave a note in a student’s locker” feature; adjusting which subjects are interesting to which students. Adjusted the two mirrors at the top of the northeast staircase so that they are no longer rendering the game’s skybox. Fixed bug that would cause the pipe wrench to hover in front of Yandere-chan’s hands when she was holding it. Fixed bug ...

February 17th Bug-Fixing Build

Gambar
The changes I made in the Feb 15th update introduced some new bugs to the game. I’ve uploaded a new build that should fix those bugs! You can click “Continue Reading” to see a list of everything that was fixed and changed. Fixes, Changes, and Additions Changed the Occult Club’s daily routine. Now, instead of spending all day inside of their clubroom, they walk around school and attempt to research “The Seven Mysteries of Akademi High” – a series of urban legends that are associated with the school. Currently, you can only see them research 5 of the 7 mysteries. Can you guess what the other 2 are? Added some new props to the school – a painting, some mirrors, a basketball, a piano, and an anatomical figure. These are connected to “The Seven Mysteries”. The 7 mysteries will play a larger role during Oka Ruto’s week at school. Fixed bug that caused the “Find Locker” button prompt to display on a student’s profile if the player has backed out of the “Find Locker” menu without fin...

February 16th Bug-Fixing Build

Gambar
Oops!! That previous build had an outright embarrassing number of bugs. Here’s a new build, containing twice the number of bug fixes that a normal build contains. Fixes and Changes It is now possible to dump a bucket of liquid or weights off the school roof onto a student who is standing directly behind the school. (However, remember that a bucket is only fatal if there are 5 weights in the bucket!) Fixed bug that would prevent a bucket-over-door trap from working effectively if Yandere-chan was holding an object in her hands at the moment that the trap was activated. Fixed bug that would cause a student to register as “doused in gasoline” even if that student had been to the locker room and cleaned gasoline off of their body. If anyone witnesses you touch a gasoline-doused student with a candle, they will recognize that you are committing murder and react according to their Persona. Expanded the size of the candle flame’s collider so that it’s less likely for a gasoline-do...

February 15th Update

Gambar
The primary focus of this build was to update gameplay mechanics that, previously, only applied to Kokona. It is now possible to frame anyone for murder, push anyone off the roof, drop a heavy object on anyone, and set anyone on fire. The methods for doing some of these things have changed. There is also a new feature in Yandere-chan’s room, a new weapon, and some other minor additions! Changes To Framing For Murder The player can now frame *anyone* for murder, not just Kokona during her cooking event. The process is described below: Obtain a roll of masking tape in the Art Club. Find a cardboard box in the Incinerator area, and use the masking tape to tape the cardboard box shut. Wear gloves to avoid getting your fingerprints onto a murder weapon. Stab a box cutter into the taped cardboard box. Present the stabbed box to a student and ask for help getting the box cutter out. The student will agree, and put their fingerprints onto the box cutter. Changes To Rooftop-Push...
